Pierre Obed Dorile in

Pierre Obed Dorile is an Operations Engineer at the California Independent System
Operator (CAISO) with expertise in transmission operations, NERC standards, and
electricity market operations in deregulated environments. He holds a master’s degree in
Power Engineering from the University of Arkansas, studied mathematics at the École
Normale Supérieure, and is a NERC-certified Reliability Coordinator. Obed earned his
bachelor’s degree jointly from the Faculté des Sciences at the Université d’État d’Haïti (UEH)
and the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago. He has published several
IEEE papers in the fields of power systems and electricity markets, which have collectively
gathered around 40 citations. His work focuses on transmission operations, grid reliability,
and power system optimization, and he is passionate about advancing energy systems in
both established and emerging markets.
